the turtle doesn’t always finish last…


**This post wast supposed to be up last night but my internet got busted and I wasn’t able to load my website, so i’m posting it today. and another one for today. =)**

…in the case of losing weight! hahaha

I’m using turtle as part of my analogy because we can actually apply the “slowness” of a turtle to how we eat our meals.

TIP of the day: Eating slowly!

4 reasons why:

1.) For better digestion

2.) Savour and enjoy the food that we’re eating

3.) When you eat fast, you won’t realize right away that you’re already full and you’ll keep eating until you are super stuffed. (Portion control)

4.) Better for those trying to lose weight.

It’s also good to use chopsticks or just your fork to slow you down more in eating. =)

Work out for the day:

Gym at 7am ( so my goal to wake up early and go to the gym was a success today! haha hopefully also tomorrow)

– cardio: stepper burned 200 cal

– weights: chest press (3 sets of 10reps) pull downs (3sets of 10reps) Low row (2 sets of 20reps)

– abs : crunches (3 sets of 30reps)  crunches with weights (3sets of 15reps) crunches with feet on top of the medicine ball ( 3 sets of 20 reps)

-After I got home from work I also did 18minutes of cardio (treadmill) and burned(150cal)

yehey! I needed to double my effort in exercise to make up for last weeks just treadmill for exercise. I need to include weights and abs.

What I ate today:

Breakfast: 1/2 cup of cereal with low fat milk and 1/2 tuna sandwich on wheat bread

Snack; the 1/2 of tuna sandwich i ate for breakfast and 1 ponkan orange

Lunch: 1 cup mixed veggies with shrimp, 1/4 cup of kimchi, 8pc of lychees

Snack: tiger biscuit 4pcs and 1 pc wheat crackers from rebisco and 1 apple

Dinner: 1/3 of bangus (paksiw), 1/2cup asparagus with shrimp and 1 small pc of grilled chicken, 4 pcs of lychee

plus 1/2 cup of hot chocolate drink for dessert =)
