The FFD Diet

This is my own invention/creation of a new diet fad = FFD.

FFD stands forFruits For Dinner”.

They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and I totally agree. You need breakfast to energize you and help you get started on your day. They say it’s bad to skip meals and I also totally agree! I’ve had my fair share of experiences where in I skipped meals because it was one of my initiatives to lose weight but that’s just bad! There are bad side effects in skipping meals/starving yourself. You’ll end up binging or worse you will gain back what you’ve lost from the starving and even pack on extra pounds.

So I guess the solution lies on the FFD. For me, dinner is the most meal that can be negligible/ a meal that is not as important as breakfast or lunch because it is at the end of the day and you don’t want to be too full a few hours before sleeping because you won’t burn it anymore.  And so the answer is eating light! Eat fruits at night instead of carbs. And when I say fruits, not all fruits are acceptable. We have to set the right standards for the FFD diet.

The fruits to be eaten for the FFD diet should contain low-medium amounts of sugar. Here is a list of “acceptable” fruits/ those that have low-medium sugar content. :

1. Papaya

2. Apple

3. Grapefruit

4. Melon

5. Nectarines

6. Honeydew Melons

7. Blueberries

8. Peaches

9. Watermelon

10. Apricots

11. Guava

Fruits that have a fairly higher amount of sugar (but is still acceptable): Pears, Kiwi, Oranges, Pineapple and Plum

Fruits that are very high in Sugar: Mangoes, Cherries, Grapes, Pomegranates, Bananas and Tangerines

My top recommendations for the fruit that you’ll be eating for your diet are those rich in Vitamin C (Because Vitamin C helps the body process fat faster and also stimulates the carnitine amino acid which speeds up the body’s fat-burning capacity.Vitamin C dilutes the fat and makes it less effective and helps in releasing the fat from the body.) And these are: Grapefruit, Papaya, Guava, Oranges, Lemons, Tangerines and Tomatoes.

Right Set of Fruits for FFD

Fruits are one of the best source of vitamins and minerals! 😉
