There’s nothing like a warm bowl of spicy ramen to bring comfort to a very tiring day. One of my go-to-food when I am stressed is the Korean spicy ramen cup “Shin”. But of course nothing beats a freshly cooked dish. After watching a play in Ateneo, me and my former boss went to UP Town Center and tried “RYU” Ramen.
This is what we ordered:
1. Their very famous “RYU” / Curry ramen. – This ramen boasts of it’s curry flavor with a hint of spice to it. I’ll give it an 8 out of 10. (I don’t have a photo of it but the soup was a dark brown shade)
2. Their next best seller the “Tantanmen” which is known for its spicy flavor but the broth is miso based. It was good and the flavor profile is exactly what I expected it to be. I love the runny yolk of the hard boiled egg. (Which is the type of egg they use for most ramen) I’ll give it an 8.5 out of 10.
3. Gyoza – it was like any other gyoza but with more meat filling! I’ll give it also an 8.5 out of 10.
4. Chicken Kaarage with a side salad – the side salad had a sesame dressing the chicken was cooked/fried well. I’ll give it an 8 out of 10.
5. Yakult Shake – really yummy!!! 9 out of 10! This was really a perfect fit and combination to the spicy ramen that we ordered.
I’ll definitely come back to this ramen place! For the price range, I’d say the price range is in the middle, not cheap but not too expensive either. More ramen posts to come! 🙂
