K na K sa K-bab!

A send-off dinner at a Persian restaurant. K-bab is a hole-in-the-wall located in Shaw Boulevard, just beside the Petron gas station along shaw. It is an authentic Persian restaurant and with a lot of variety in the menu that they offer. But of course we stuck to their best-sellers and the “usual’ from a kebab restaurant.

I ordered their special the “Special Chelo Kabab Koobide” (240php) – two upsized sticks of ground beef but instead of rice, I asked them to replace it with two more grilled tomatoes ( I absolutely love the grilled tomatoes paired in a kebab dish). This is “diet” version.  I will give it a rating of 8.5 out of 10. It’s best to pair it with the white garlic sauce mixed with the red hot sauce. Yum!

Some of my friends tried the Special Chelo Kabab mixed version,        one stick of ground beef paired with specially marinated chicken.

My friend also ordered their hummus with pita bread. (90php) It was any other hummus I tried, but I felt that the hummus lacked a bit more flavor. I will give it a 7 out of 10.

One of the traditional dishes in a persian/kebab restaurant is their Ox brain! So we ordered one, I just tasted a little. It was good but the cholesterol and calories that comes with it is just too much. haha

The deadly but yummy ox brain!

To cap off this meal is a strawberry yogurt drink (65php) to take off the spice of the sauce.  All in all this is a good persian restaurant to come back to. The prices are also budget friendly.  Their menu is actually on the wall. 🙂 K na K!
