The Korean Chicken Invasion

We all know that the Korean invasion started long before Lee Min Ho came in the picture. He just hyped it up. And now he is back endorsing a new Korean chicken restaurant that is very similar to Bonchon, even the name is almost synonymous. The new food chain is called “Kyochon”

The branch that we tried was in Theatre Mall Greenhills, they replaced the spot where Flapjacks was located before. My brother liked their chicken more than Bonchon. They had three different flavors which we all ordered. First is the original flavor.

Second is the Spicy flavor

Last, is the honey flavor.

The Kimchi Fried Rice is good paired with the chicken. I have tasted the Kimchi Fried rice in Bonchon and I can say that Kyochon’s fried rice is better! Their rice has that nice texture of firm and a bit sticky.

For me it’s a tie between the original and the spicy flavor. The spicy was really spicy! They even had a hand glove for you, should you get down and dirty for a finger lickin’ good experience.

Over-all, the food was good and the price was okay. I would rate it a 4 out of 5. It’s an alternative if you are craving the chicken that Bonchon serves. In terms of price, Kyochon is a bit more expensive but in terms of food quality I think Kyochon is a notch better than Bonchon.  I would go back again if ever I have chicken cravings. 🙂
