I’m very excited because for the first time, my family will be spending our Christmas celebration abroad. We had a new year’s eve trip once, but not yet the Christmas Holidays.
We have six full days excluding the day we fly in and out. In my experience the best way to plan a trip is to book the flight first and it’s best to do it when there’s a seat sale. Our tickets were on sale but since it was already peak days/month/ Christmas time, it was more expensive than the usual price. Then if the country you’re going to needs a visa, then you need to secure one. Second, once you’ve secured your tickets the next thing to book is your accommodation. It’s your choice whether it will be via Airbnb or a Hotel booking. Everything will be dependent on the budget that you have. Third will be the itinerary, and this is the fun part! You get to customize your days.
My plan is to do the top attractions but mix it with culture and the best food places! And of course include shopping! It’s best to book earlier with most tourist attractions/tours. I plan to include Universal Studios, Osaka Castle, Haruka’s 300 Ovservatory Deck, Dohtonbori, Hoshida Park, Shinshaibashi, and go to Kyoto.
Stay tuned to my updated itinerary and the actual trip on Dec 19-26.
