Very Blessed…

I’m very blessed to have a lot of my friends supporting me in this challenge. And of course I know God is with me. =)

Yeah, I think I’ve had a lot of diet plans in the past but never this serious and never this determined before. And thanks to my friends who are always there to support and encourage me, I just might experience victory this time. I won’t speak too soon though. I just know that hard work is needed and of course motivation/inspiration.

Speaking of motivation, I should also list one or two things to keep me motivated and inspired maybe every other day or so.

For today my motivation are my old clothes.  Yes, old clothes that I no longer fit in, but I’m still keeping them because of the hopes that one day I will be able to use them again. Can relate? Hahah I have this cute dress that I bought back when I was thinner and before I knew it, it doesn’t fit me anymore and what’s worse is that I haven’t worn it yet!!!! =(

Here’s a picture of the dress.

I slept late last night probably from excitement that yesterday was the first day of my challenge. But also because I was writing a cover letter for a job application plus I was talking to my friends over ym and Facebook. Ym and Facebook can keep you up all night. Anyway some of my friends have been giving advices and tips about the proper diet, and this includes my friend Seoul.

Seoul advised me to stay away from simple sugars, and instead eat more complex carbs like rootcrops (Kamote) and wheat. And I told Seoul that this is also what Marc Nelson said to me that better substitutes to white rice are complex carbs. So how did I get tips from Marc Nelson? Well it was during one of our Kythe activities in Ateneo, KiteFlying held at Bel Field, and he was there because he’s an honorary member and sponsor. (hotness!!!)

What are simple sugars? These are white rice, pasta, candies, chocolates, and the like.

So Seoul also told me that I should do some weights too, because it will train my muscles and I’d burn more when I do some weight training program. Thanks for the advice Seoul!! Speaking of weight training program, I’m asking this friend of mine to make me one! =)

What’s the work out for today?

Woke up at around 11am! I immediately fixed my Gym Bag and ate breakfast and after 30minutes I headed to the gym. I was just in time to catch the Body Balance Class.

After doing the Body Balance for an hour, I proceeded to do Cardio in my favorite cardio machine= Wave. In doing the wave machine, instead of walking in a straight line you sway your feet/legs side to side. I burned 200 calories there in 27minutes. After that I was so hungry I bought lunch and after continued with my work out but this time I did weights! Yeah! Hahah I tried almost every machine- the adductor, abductor, chest press, leg press, pull downs and pull ups. But all of those I did for just a couple of repetitions, so as not to be burned out.

My trainer before also told me that the proper time to be allotted in working out is just 2hours maximum and 30minutes minimum each day, if you exceed the 2 hours you will tend to overcompensate for your work out. And you will end up using too much energy that you won’t be able to recover/ you will try to recover in the wrong way like SLEEP too much and EAT too much.

What I ate:

Breakfast: Kellogs Special K Cereal with low fat milk.

Lunch: Starbucks’ Tomato, Basil and mozzarella on multigrain Bagel. The Multigrain bagel was yummy!!!

Merienda: Grapefruit!!

Dinner: Broccoli with crabsticks, some steamed fish that I tossed with my lettuce and 2 slices of chicken.

Whoohoo! Goodjob naman sa mga kinain ko today. Hahah improving! hahahaha

ttyl,

Isis
