Smoothielicious!


I had a smoothie after yoga today. Strawberry yogurt smoothie! =)

Having a nice cold drink was what kept me going in yoga class, thinking that at the end I’m gonna bask myself in some smoothie loving. =)

Hindi naman ganito kalaki yung ininum ko ah! hahaha cute lang kasi ng props!

Since we’re talking about smoothies, I found several recipes of smoothies in the April issue of women’s health and I’m going to share them here.

First is called the “Hunger Killer” This smoothie drink will really help us control our hunger and be sufficient enough to be a snack/ even a meal if you’re going for a diet and you want one of your meals to be a fruit shake/smoothie.

Ingredients:

1 cup strawberries, hulled

1 cup cubed mango

1 lime, peeled and seeded

2 tbsp flax oil

1/2 cup silken tofu (1/4 of a package)

1 1/2 ice

This makes 3 servings and 165 calories per serving. =)

Next, we have the TUMMY SMOOTHERThis smoothie will help you in your digestive system. =)

Ingredients:

1 cup peeled, seeded and cubed papaya

1 cup frozen sliced peaches

1 medium pear cubed ground flax seed

1 tsp. sliced ginger

6 mint leaves

1/2 cup low-fat greek yogurt

6 ice cubes

Makes 3 servings, 109 calories per serving.

BTW, The Flax seed, Flax oil and silken tofu can be bought at Healthy Options, while the Greek yogurt can be purchased at Green Shop located in Market Market (The open air section)

Work Out:

Today, I did bikram yoga again and went swimming in White Plains after! 20 laps whoohoo. =)

What I ate today:

Breakfast: 1/2 grilled cheese sandwich and oatmeal with bananas and milo

Lunch: salad ( lettuce, tomatoes, slices of beef, corn and parmesan dressing) and my strawberry yogurt smoothie and 1kiwi

Snack: had an iced tea and 1 small pack of Happy grease-less peanuts.

Dinner: 1 cup sayote with shrimps, 3 pcs of big shrimps in sweet & spicy sauce, 1/2 banana and 1 kiwi. Drank 1 yakult.

Tip of the Day:

If you wanna have some detox diet, smoothie for breakfast and soup for dinner can help or vice versa. Two liquid meals and your lunch can be a salad or something with lean meat. This is what Gwyneth Paltrow did! hahaha showbiz much
